I knew this day would come.
I am laying on my bed reading while the kids are in the tub. I hear an excited Jack, "Sam! Look! I am peeing on you!"
Lots of little boy giggling and snickering followed.
Oh my heavens. Is it really only 12:30?

uncle paul
I'm all over the place. Last vacation post okay?
No trip to California is complete without something dangerous at Uncle Paul's house. We stayed with my uncle who was out of town for most of the week, but when he came back, he pulled out the fire.

Thank goodness the little boys didn't want to try, but the big boy did.

We had a great time staying at Pauls, it's so wonderful to have family that is welcoming and accommodating to our crazy, loud family. The boys called Paul, "uncle PaulPaul" because they know he's their Baba's (grandpa's) brother. I love how they repeated his name twice.
Thanks again Paul!

papers
I get to see my husband tonight. Yay!
Yes I have seen him this past week, but really, the guy isn't here mentally. He's doing this:

Law review. That is one huge stack of papers. But don't feel bad, he likes the challenge.
Oh, and that stack is front and back, with two pages on each page. Now feel bad.

holding hands
While riding the Casey Jr. Train at Disney, I noticed this.

Did you see it?

We didn't say anything and watched things unfold.
Sam let it stay, and Jack cuddled closer to Sam as things got a little fast.

By the end it was this.

I love my boys.
p.s. Everyone thought they were twins. I know we dressed them alike, but that's a Disneyland thing in case they get lost. But really, twins?

Beach
Inbetween our three days at Disney, we went to the beach. I forget how much I love this place. I guess there is still some California girl still in me.

This little boy,

reminded me of this little boy 2 years ago with his rock collecting.

And yes, we are Utahns. No one got in past their knees. Sam also insists on a swim shirt.

Disney
The vomiting has stopped. Onto our trip!
First ride, Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Look closely at that little Sam face, he wasn't too thrilled. He liked the roller coaster, just not the "scary bat eyes" in the cave.

Even the father cannot take normal pictures.

Classic California Adventure picture, and classic Dayton picture. Katie and Adam smiling, hoping the kids will as well, but really Sam is being shy and Jack just doesn't care.
I didn't take too many pictures of our vacation because we were enjoying it too much. At times I'd feel bad for not pulling out my camera, but I realized that it's about the experience, not the pictures. The boys haven't stopped talking about all the rides and when they are going back. They don't realize that they're not going to go for at least 2 more years. Sorry kiddos.

6 years
6 years ago, at the wise ages of 18 and 21, we got married.

Who knew 18-year-olds could make such good decisions.

vomit
I really don't want to clean up more vomit.

Can ya tell? He's going to live in that chair til the end of the day watching endless movies.
And his brother will reap the benefits of having a sick sibling.

snow
All this yucky weather in May reminds me of 6 years ago...from today!
May 11th, 2005 my parents backyard looked like this:

And yes, that is me holding a bouquet of flowers. I was getting married the next day and the reception was supposed to be...yep you guessed it, in my backyard.

I cried. My beautiful backyard reception had to be moved to a church. But then I realized that what really mattered was who I was marrying and where. The next day was wonderful and beautiful, snow and all.

Cali-fornia
Just got back from a week long vacation to California.
All we did is go to Disneyland and the beach. It was great.
Trying to get used to this cold weather and back to real life. Skirts, shorts and flip-flops are hard to stop wearing.
