Name

Before Oliver was Oliver he was Shortening. The boys insisted that this be his name while I was pregnant. We sent Sam to a neighbors to borrow some shortening, and he came home and told us he thought that would be a beautiful name for our baby. And so that's what we called him, baby Shortening.

You may think that we did not follow in our tradition of having alcohol names with our children. But wait!

Oliver Sparks Dayton. Seems harmless right?



Let me introduce you to Sparks, an alcoholic energy drink. And you just thought it was my maiden name.

Who knows what our next baby will be named. We're thinking Morgan.
