Uncle Bunk

Saturday was Byron Sparks funeral. Otherwise known as Uncle Bunk.

I actually don't remember him looking
the way he did in the picture above.
He was in an accident at work that severely disfigured his face.
I remember it scaring me the first time I saw him,
but he was so loving and sweet that the scars faded away.

The fam, minus Hollita.

The military honors were neat to see. He served as a cook, much to the dismay of his father.

Jack had a grand time being passed around.

He had some great stories told about him. Very tough guy.
But still very loving. What a great tribute to life.

He was a devote Aggies fan. He also loved to play cards. He was buried with a pack of cards, a book by his favorite author, and...well it isn't my secret to tell.

Of course, her song was played. We all cried.

Of course it wouldn't be a Sparks gathering without some good old fashioned casual swearing...over the pulpit.

What the? You can't taunt us with that whole secret thing. It's not fair. Who's secret IS it to tell?
